Property & Construction Showreel

Thanks for checking out my property and construction showreel – This is a snapshot of some of the work I do in the industry.

I shoot photography and video along with long-term timelapse, normal timelapse and drone footage.

I also have a technique where I shoot still images with intricate lighting, then convert the still into video with image-to-video AI technology – There’s a couple of examples of interior photography within this showreel – but for more of a detailed look at this technique, have a look at the video below the showreel video.

Still-to-Video explainer - How a single picture can transfom your video

I’m a photographer who also shoots video…

Unless you’re working with TV commercial level video commissions, most visuals created for video are limited in quality compared to stills photography, this is because most video cameras and lighting can’t match the raw pixel camera quality and the lighting power of a stills photography flash.

So swapping my video equipment over to my photography kit, then shooting a superior, fully lit still image, I’m now able to transform it into moving footage using AI.

When using two stills I can create dolly zoom and slider transitions, which would take way longer and require significantly more equipment to do traditionally.

I can also create short-term timelapse, which again saves time, and money.

So if you book me for photography work, then there may be opportunities of editing video from the stills with only a small additional editing fee.

If you’re booking me for video, then stills could be shot instead of video, which takes your finished edit to a completely different level for roughly the same budget.

Case study video created entirely from still images

I was recently booked to photograph a case study for a client who installed all the lighting in this department store.

A typical way to shoot this, and any kind of photography for that matter, is to shoot around the subject, including various angles, different focal lengths, which gives the client several options for publishing.

The interesting byproduct of this is when creating Ai Image-to-Video with the Start/End Frame technique, you have a ready-made sequence of images to try and connect and create video.

As we know, AI is still in its infancy, and when linking images together, some don’t quite work, and hit room the cutting room floor, whereas others are acceptable to use, but many are very worthy of publishing, especially on social media.

As mentioned above, on particular kinds of shoots like this, there’s certainly scope to get a package of still photography and then a bonus package of video clips at the same time – killing two birds with one stone!
